PLANNING DEPARTMENT
REHABILITATION OFFICER I


Salary Range: As per Grant
Reviews, monitors and coordinates residential and community facility rehabilitation and assigned community
development projects under the federally and state funded Community Development and Community
Development Rehabilitation Programs; does related work as required.


DESIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Possession of a high school or equivalency diploma and,
either:
(A) Six (6) years of building construction experience at the Journey level, or as a contractor, construction
supervisor, construction manager or construction inspector;
(B) Six (6) years experience implementing urban renewal and rehabilitation construction projects;
(C) Satisfactory completion of 30 credits at a recognized college or university* or post high school trade
school with course work in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Electrical or Mechanical
Technology or a related field may be substituted for each year of the above stated experience, to a
maximum of four years of the required experience.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of NY.
Spanish Speaking preferred.
