Resource Discussion:
The Gatekeeper Program
with Katherine Clarke, MSW
of Family Services of Westchester
The Gatekeeper Program was designed to engage older adults, 55+, who live independently and may be at risk of mental health issues. The Gatekeeper Program goes out into the community to discuss how to recognize the signs, symptoms, and "red flags" of older adults who may be at risk. The program seeks to reduce the isolation and decline that can accompany untreated mental health issues in older adults.
