Study: Immunocompromised and worried about COVID-19?

If you have a condition that indicates you are immunocompromised with a CD4 < 350, and you have received a COVID-19 Omicron vaccine booster within the last 7 weeks, or plan to receive a booster in the near future, you may be eligible for free antibody testing and the opportunity for future participation in COVID-19 prevention studies.

What to Expect

First, sign up with your email and fill out a short questionnaire to find out whether you qualify to be a part of a registry. If you do, a Patient Experience Coordinator (Science 37 Study Team Member) will contact you to obtain any previous antibody test results, or help you obtain a new test.

If you qualify, and you haven’t recently had COVID-19 antibody test results, you will have the option to obtain a blood draw at a laboratory close to you at no cost.

Your participation may qualify you for an upcoming investigational monoclonal antibody COVID-19 prevention study.

Minority Stress & Trauma Lab

We are researchers affiliated with Syracuse University who are interested in better understanding LGBTQ+ individuals living in New York. We are recruiting folks who identify with diverse sexual identities (e.g., gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, asexual, pansexual, demi-sexual, same-gender-loving) and gender identities (e.g., trans, nonbinary, gender fluid, agender, cisgender). Specifically, the purpose of our research study is to identify ways that LGBTQ+ folks living in New York have been affected by trauma, including their coping strategies, mental health, and help-seeking experiences.

We are recruiting participants to take part in our online research study, consisting of a brief (5-minute) screener to determine eligibility. After, eligible participants will be invited to the main study, which involves a 45-60-minute online survey. Thus, the entire research study will be completed online and take approximately 65 minutes total. You must be at least 18 years old to participate.

By participating in this paid study, you will be entered into a raffle to win one of 4 $25 Amazon gift cards (for an alternative payment method, please email study staff at [email protected]). Should you be chosen as a winner (1.1% chance of winning), you will be sent the gift card via the email address you provide in the compensation survey.  You can also earn $10 if you are eligible and participate in a 45-60-minute online survey immediately following the screener survey.

Please complete the following brief (< 5 minutes), online Eligibility Screening Questionnaire at your earliest convenience to confirm eligibility for this study. You can click the following link (or “cut and paste” the link into your preferred Internet browser): https://bit.ly/36jNfN6

Thank you again for your interest in our study! Please feel free to pass along this announcement to other LGBTQ+ people who might be interested in participating in our study. Please contact Dr. Jillian Scheer, the study Principal Investigator, at [email protected] if you have any questions.

You can help GLSEN, Family Equality, and COLAGE inform education policymakers and the public about what’s really going on in our nation’s schools for families like yours by completing the LGBTQ+ Families and Schools Study Survey.

The LGBTQ+ Families and Schools Study will be an important tool for fighting anti-LGBTQ+ bias in K-12 schools across the nation. The information gathered from this survey will help GLSEN, Family Equality, and COLAGE to inform education policymakers and the public about the right of all students to be treated with respect in their schools.

Students, if you have one or more LGBTQ+ parent(s) or caregiver(s) and attended high school or middle school sometime during the last school year (2021-2022), and are at least 13 years old, tell us about your experiences in school. (If you did not complete the entire school year you can still participate in the survey.) The survey is completely anonymous. Participants have a chance to win one of 20 $50 e-gift cards.
