National Coming Out Day (NCOD) Campaign

Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth (LIGALY) and the LGBT Network are expanding our National Coming Out Day (NCOD) Campaign efforts this year with a focus on creating safer spaces for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people where we live, learn, work, play, and pray.  Our one-day social action campaign will take place on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 and will engage whole communities, including organizations, businesses, places of worship, schools, senior centers, athletic groups, etc, to stake a stand against discrimination, violence, harassment, and bullying of LGBT people.  Our vision is to engage all of Long Island, Queens, New York State, and beyond, to “come out” in support of safer spaces for LGBT people where we LIVE, LEARN, WORK, PLAY, and PRAY.
