The LOFT facilitates a wide range of educational, health, social service, and recreational programs, and advocates for improved services for the LGBT community. Our Mission is to further the cause of inclusion, diversity, and pride through education, advocacy, and celebration. We are currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. The right candidate will embrace our mission and enjoy working with a vast and diverse group of people.

Qualifications: • Knowledgeable and invested in LGBT issues.

• Proficient in all major social media platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

•Must be teachable, patient and have excellent communication skills

• Experience working or volunteering in the nonprofit sector a +

Basic Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach, interviews and orientations.

• Create, improve and implement application process and enforce policies and procedures.

• Design a system to best match volunteers’ skills with center needs.

• Schedule, assign and oversee large volunteer pool, inclusive of interns.

• Supervise and celebrate volunteers.

• Track, log and report volunteer activities

. • Oversee and execute projects assigned by Executive Director.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION-

• Must be willing to work some evenings and the occasional weekend

• Must have valid driver’s license and transportation
