LGBTQ 101 and the Intersection of DV in the LGBTQ Communities

THE WESTCHESTER WOMEN'S BAR ASSOCIATION is pleased to host a CLE Program:  LGBTQ 101 and the Intersection of DV in the LGBTQ Communties

This program will satisfy one CLE credit hour of the new Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias ("D & I) requirement and one Prof Practice).  The program will discuss the intersection of DV in the LGTBQ communities and how we can better serve our clients in Court.

PLACE:  Elizabeth Haub Schoool of Law at Pace University; the Tudor Room

TIME:  6:00pm to 8:00pm

SPEAKERS:  The Honorable Betty Ellerin, former justice of the Appellate Division, First Department, Shepard Verbas Program Manager at The LOFT: LGBT Community Services Center, Eva Dolgin, Deputy Program Director at My Sisters' Place and Pam Howard, Esq., Managing Attorney of the Family Law Practice at My Sisters' Place.

MODERATOR:  Beth Levy, Esq. Senior Associate Counsel at My Sisters' Place.

CLE:  Approval by WBASNY in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for 1 credit hour of the new Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias ("D&I") and 1 credit hour in professional practice as specified, acceptable for transitional credit for established and newly admitted attorneys.  Full and paritial scholarships for this program, based on financial need, are available.  Full scholarship for the $20.00 CLE certificate charge (maximum of 10 attendees) for this program are available for attorneys at non-profit organizations that provide direct legal service for victims of domestic violence.  For information and to apply, please contact WWBA President Lisa Denig at [email protected] .
