Lamb's Hill is a gorgeous trail with three spectacular views of the Hudson River and the Catskills beyond it. Expect forests of blooming spring trees, a creek crossing, and some sweaty rock scrambles. As always, people of all genders, sexualities, races, and ethnicities are welcome on the hike!
Difficulty: The first three quarters of a mile climbs steadily via switchbacks, with occasional rocky terrain and 2 short rock scrambles. There is also one creek crossing that requires some steady footing. The trail then then levels out towards the 2nd and 3rd viewpoints. You can also read more about it here, although we'll be doing a shorter version of the trail described. As always, we take breaks whenever anyone wants them. Please just email if you have any questions about what the trail is like! Dog friendly.
Directions: Plug 41.50717, -73.92852 into your GPS. This will bring you to Sunnyside Road in Fishkill, which looks like a residential street. Continue to the end of Sunnyside Road, where you'll reach a dead end and you'll see a sign that says "Fishkill Ridge". You can turn left at this sign to continue to the parking area, or if the lot is full, you can park right there at the end of Sunnyside Road. We'll be meeting at the parking area!
