Hudson Valley Queer & Trans Outdoors June Hike

June's Hudson Valley Queer & Trans Outdoors hike will be...
Madame Brett Park to Denning's Point
June 1st, 2019, 10:30am
~3 miles, 2 hours
560 South Avenue
Beacon, NY
Let's get in the swamp for Pride month! Madame Brett Park is a totally flat trail that weaves through reedy marshes, old hat factories, and wooden boardwalks. We'll then move into the Denning's Point tail, which juts out into the Hudson and has glorious views. This is a really special wetland walk that houses lots of birds and other critters!
Difficulty: The entire trail is completely flat, with no elevation gain. The Madame Brett portion of the trail is fairly wide and gravel surfaced, with several passages are over wooden boardwalks. The Denning's Point trail is narrower, in the woods, and has more uneven terrain. It is easy to leave before you get to Denning's Point if you prefer to continue on the wider trail. You can read more about the trail here
Directions: Plug 560 South Avenue, Beacon, NY into your GPS. This will lead you to a lil parking area, where we'll be with our flags!
