Chimney Top Trail

GPS: 183 South Highland Road, Garrison, NY 10524 

Details: This is a gorgeous out and back hike to the top of a small mountain with an old chimney still standing at the top. We'll pass through an evergreen-and-fern forrest, climb slowly over some streams, and end with a view of the Catskills, some rolling farm fields, and the Hudson River. 

Difficulty: This trail climbs slowly, and never gets particularly steep. It is consistently up on the way to the top and consistently down on the way back to the road. There is one creek crossing that could get your feet a little bit wet, but you could still do this trail in just about any outdoorsy-ish footwear! As always, please reach out if you have any questions about what the trail is like. Dog friendly. 

Directions: Set your GPS to 183 South Highland Road, Garrison, NY 10524. When you see the Fish and Game Club you are there. There is a pull off right at the trail head for 2 cars and 100 yards further down the road there is a pull off for 3-4 more cars. 

Distance: Just under 2.5 miles, ~ 2 hours
