GMHC cordially invites you to participate in our First Annual Trans Career Fair on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:30am, and Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 12-6pm, to be held at GMHC, 446 West 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001.
This career fair will be an intensive two-part career workshop and networking fair for transgender and gender non-conforming community members. It will host numerous employers/agencies to promote their temporary and permanent jobs, internships, and career opportunities for the gender nonconforming community in a variety of fields including business, retail, accounting, and social services.
There is no cost to participate. Dress as you would for an interview. The first 60 attendees will receive a $25 gift card. Lunch and MetroCards will be provided. Space is limited!
October 23, 2017: Intensive job skills-building workshops
Registration starts at 11:30 am
12–2 pm: Group Workshops (job readiness, interviewing skills, dressing for the job, anti-discrimination laws and protections, etc.)
2–3 pm: Working Lunch (make-up tutorial)
2–6 pm: Individual Coaching (mock interviewing, resume writing, career coaching, etc.)
November 1, 2017: Job fair
12–6 pm: Meet, network and interact with future employers
