Come work at the LOFT LGBT Community Center part time as Communications Manager. The job will be 20 hours per week at $17 per hour. The right candidate will manage and grow our membership base, embrace our values and elevate our brand.

Qualification and Requirements:

• Knowledgeable and invested in LGBT issues

• Proficient in all major social media platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), posting web content

• Must be willing to work some evenings and the occasional weekend •

Must have valid driver’s license and transportation

• Experience working in the nonprofit sector a +

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing, advertising or a related field

• Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor’s Degree required

• Experience utilizing National Builder is a ++

Membership Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and manage membership packages

• Evaluate membership package structure and adjust to optimize participation

• Process renewals and new memberships

• Perform outreach activities to increase both business and individual memberships

• Act as primary contact for The LOFT in matters relating to membership

• Recruit benefit offerings for The LOFT members from outside vendors

• Manage membership database to ensure records are up to date and accurate

Communication Responsibilities:

• Design and implement campaigns identified and designated by the Executive Director

• Develop and maintain The LOFT visibility via written material and online content

• Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, email blasts, web content and social media.
