In partnership with the Westchester-Putnam Workforce Development Board, the WDAY Program offers occupational skills and career based services to youth 18-24 years of age, that are residents of White Plains, Greenburgh, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Tarrytown, Valhalla, Mamaroneck, Eastchester Rye, or Port Chester.

WDAY program provides:

  • Paid and Unpaid Work Experiences
  • Occupational Skills Certificate Training
  • Career Goal Mapping
  • Financial Literacy Education
  • Resume Building & Interviewing Skills Workshops

 

Enrollment Criteria

  • 18-24 years of age
  • Unemployed/ underemployed
  • Out of school (Youth that have dropped out and high school graduates are welcome)
  • Us Citizens or Legally Authorized to work

 

Youth Must Have

  • Valid and current photo id (examples: NYS driver’s license or ID, Passport)
  • Social Security Card

 

Occupational Skills Training:

The WDAY Program partners with local trade schools to provide certificate training in essential career fields. Tuition assistance is provided. Eligible training providers include:

  • SWBOCES
  • SUNY Westchester Community College
  • Westchester School for Dental and Medical Assistants
  • Enterprise Training Solutions (IT/Software)
