LGBTQ folks smoke at rates 40% higher than others. That smoking is implicated in well over 1/3 of all cancers.
Because of this, the National LGBT Cancer Network is extremely pleased to be offering scholarships to the upcoming (and rare) National Conference on Tobacco or Health (NCTOH), Aug 27-29 in Minneapolis MN.
Are you a concerned professional, a student, a queer leader, an advocate... this scholarship is open to all. Members of underrepresented minority groups are particularly encouraged to apply!
Organizers ask that all scholarship recipients write a few paragraphs each day about what they learned and how that might affect other queer people for sharing on social media.
Deadline to apply is Tuesday July 30th!
